Remember Bye Bye Blues, Red Roses For A Blue Lady, Wonderland By Night? They were all million-selling hits by the fabulous Bert Kaempfert Orchestra. To this day, his unique instrumental recordings are constantly featured on radio stations throughout the world. The good news for all music fans is that the Orchestra has been re-formed by Bert Kaempfert's daughter Marion, and Bert's lead trumpet player and friend, Tony Fisher. Kaempfert compositions have been recorded by many stars including Frank Sinatra, Shirley Bassey, Nat King Cole, and Al Martino. However, it is little known that Bert Kaempfert always wrote the songs for his orchestra, therefore the instrumental versions are the true originals of "Strangers In The Night", "Spanish Eyes", "L.O.V.E." etc. The large 25 piece orchestra plays all these hits, plus big band favourites such as "Take The 'A' Train" and "Two O'Clock Jump" - all with the distinctive Kaempfert touch. Bandleader Tony Fisher says, "In my 30 years experience playing in almost every orchestra in England and throughout Europe I thought it tragic that all this high quality music was left unheard, so I approached Marion Kaempfert and we jointly decided to re-launch that wonderfully unique sound. Keep an eye on your local press for details of Kaempfert concerts - you could be in for a rare musical treat.
